چکیده

Introduction Regulatory T cells (Treg) are crucial for maintaining immune homeostasis and mediating immune tolerance. Several studies have shown that Treg can produce cytokines. CD161, a C-type lectin receptor, identifies Treg that produce cytokines. Interestingly, CD161+ Treg are enriched in the inflamed joint of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) patients and their numbers relate to clinical disease severity suggesting that CD161+ Treg may play an important role in disease pathogenesis. If Treg are to be used as a cell therapy it may be important to define ways to prevent cytokine production from these cells in vivo.

CD161+ Tconv and CD161+ Treg Share a Transcriptional and Functional Phenotype despite Limited Overlap in TCRβ Repertoire

Human regulatory T cells (Treg) are important in immune regulation, but can also show plasticity in specific settings. CD161 is a lectin-like receptor and its expression identifies an effector-like Treg population. Here, we determined how CD161+ Treg relate to CD161+ conventional T cells (Tconv). Transcriptional profiling identified a shared transcriptional signature between CD161+ Tconv and CD...

PReS-FINAL-1021: Further characterization of CD161+ regulatory t cells in health and disease

Introduction Regulatory T cells (Treg) are crucial for maintaining immune homeostasis and mediating immune tolerance. Besides their immune regulatory function, Treg can produce pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin (IL)-17 and interferon (IFN)-g. Recently, our group has identified CD161 as a marker for pro-inflammatory FoxP3+ T cells which have classic Treg characteristics but also hav...

بررسی اثر تماس مستقیم سلولهایT بکر با سلولهای فیبروبلاست تحریک شده با BCG بر القای سلولهایT تنظیمی

Background: Lymph node stromal fibroblasts are interconnected with TCD4+ cells and affect their phenotype and function. Understanding the nature of these interactions under unusual conditions like infections will help to their application in control and regulation of immune responses. Materials and methods: Lymph node fibroblasts were affected in BCG primed immune environment by both in-...

The role of vitamin D3 and vitamin B9 (Folic acid) in immune system

Background and aims: Vitamins are essential constituents of our diet that Longley have been known to influence the immune system. Vitamin D3 and B9 have received particular attention in recent years as these vitamins have been shown to have an unexpected and crucial effect on the immune response. 1, 25(OH)2D3 metabolizing enzymes and vitamin D r...

Staphylococcus aureus-derived factors induce IL-10, IFN-γ and IL-17A-expressing FOXP3+CD161+ T-helper cells in a partly monocyte-dependent manner.

Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is a human pathogen as well as a frequent colonizer of skin and mucosa. This bacterium potently activates conventional T-cells through superantigens and it is suggested to induce T-cell cytokine-production as well as to promote a regulatory phenotype in T-cells in order to avoid clearance. This study aimed to investigate how S. aureus impacts the production of ...
